An Angry Ocean - from Hurrican Isaac

Perdido Key, Florida

As much as I love the Ocean - blue skies, calm seas, clear water - there is something spine-tingling awesome about a storm.  When the water is dark and gnarly - it's mesmorizing and addictive.  Of course, I can be all starry-eyed when I'm standing here under cover, safe on shore (well, as safe as you can be before a hurricane).

This is definitely one of my fav photos of raging waters.  If you want to see it in action, check out my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRvoVl4ySNQ&feature=plcp

A Good Pipe Fitting

Maybe that's a - um - strange title.  But it's what popped into my mind.  Yeah.  This was at the Folsom Power House Dam.  I love old industrial buildings.  Make for some interesting lighting and strong visual elements.

Great Blue Heron

Florida has spectacular wildlife and an abundance of flora - and bugs!  But I'll ignore the bugs and enjoy the beauty this state has to share with any who are willing to get out of their cars and air conditioned houses and explore!

Country Life.

The smell of homemade biscuits, fresh eggs, and a rasher of bacon cooking in the kitchen.  Coffee black and strong.  Yeah - you can have all that in a city.  But my soul seeks that fresh air and the sound of birds, not traffic, early in the morning.  Clear skies, not smog, and at night you can see all the Milky Way.  You work hard.  And play hard.  Eat hearty.  And sleep well.

Simple.

The Power of Water.
Pensacola Beach, Florida
This is where I was born, a very powerful place.
No words needed - you really can't describe this beauty!
Enjoy!

Joy

I absolutely, without hesitation or doubt, Love photography.  There has never been a time when I have not been excited about a new photo project.  There has never been a time when my camera has not shown me some new and wondrous vision of the World.

I think a child's eye must live in my camera.  Because when I look through that lens, everything I see, is for the first time...
